Do More Be More

Have you ever wondered what it would take to get more of the things you want out of life?

Why does it seem that those who have more continue to get more while those with little continue to have less and less? It is because they are endowed with special gifts that most do not possess? Are they smarter or luckier than the rest? There are probably dozens of reasons we can come up as to why we don’t have what we want, but in truth, they are just excuses used to disguise our laziness, fear, and relentless desire to stay in comfort.  True story!

If we want more we must become more.  We have to increase our capacity to receive more out of life.  This simply means we must change the way we think.   Albert Einstein once said “We can not solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them”.

We can’t keep doing the same things and expecting different results which is the meaning of insanity.   We must become people of personal development.  We must challenge ourselves everyday physically, mentally, and spiritually.  It is only until we push past our feelings and do what we know is right that we will be able to reach the level of success and abundance that is rightfully ours.

There are some simple steps we can take to begin our journey to greatness:

1.  Believe that you can – If you don’t believe something is possible it isn’t and if you believe it is then it is.  Scripture tells us that “All things are possible to him that believes.  So you must first believe that you are worthy and deserve goodness in your life.

2. Start Early -Set a precedent for the day.  Not anything major just simple things like getting up a little early to go for a walk to get your body right, read something positive (there are 31 Proverbs in the Bible, one for every day of the week), and get your spirit and mind right.

3. Take action – Do something every day that scares you.  Make the call, ask for the business, start the business, write the book.  You know what to do.  Just do it!

4. Be consistent – Simple disciplines done over a period of time will produce results.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made.  The fact that you are here reading this is proof that God took purpose wrapped it up in flesh and made YOU! Ask and it shall be given to you, seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall be open unto you.

Jessie Rittenhouse wrote a poem that resonates with me every day about the endless opportunities we have in the world of abundance.  Let it encourage you to make this day your greatest day!

“I bargained with Life for a penny, and Life would pay no more. However, I begged at evening. When I counted my scanty store; for Life is just an employer, He gives you what you ask, but once you have set the wages, why, you must bear the task. I worked for a menial’s hire, Only to learn, dismayed,That any wage I had asked of Life, Life would have paid.”
